Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and what we never touch — across the website, the Framer plugin and app.framerlink.com.
Who we are
Framerlink (“we”, “us”) provides a Framer plugin and an account site (app.framerlink.com) that connect a Shopify store to a Framer project (the “Service”). This policy covers the framerlink.com website and the Service. Framerlink is not affiliated with Framer B.V. or Shopify Inc.; their own privacy policies apply to their platforms.
Data we process
To run your account
- Account data — your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the name and profile picture Google shares. Passwords are stored hashed by our authentication provider.
- Billing status— whether your subscription is active, and Stripe's customer and subscription identifiers. Card details are entered on Stripe's pages and never reach us.
To run the sync
- Store catalog data— products, variants, prices, inventory, imagery and collections from your Shopify store, synced into your Framer project's CMS at your instruction.
- Connection data — your store domain and the credentials you provide (Storefront API tokens and, for Auto-Sync, a Framer Server API key). Credentials are stored encrypted and are used only to read your catalog and write to the specific project you connected.
- Sync activity — a short, capped log of recent sync runs (what changed and whether it succeeded), shown to you in the plugin for debugging.
To run the website
- Analytics — aggregate usage statistics for framerlink.com (page views, referrers) via Google Analytics, used to understand what content helps.
Data we do not collect
- No payment card data. Payments run entirely through Stripe; we never see card numbers.
- No shopper data.Your storefront's visitors talk to Shopify directly from their browser and check out on Shopify; their personal data never passes through Framerlink's servers.
How data is shared
Data moves between four parties, each only as needed to provide the Service: Shopify (source of your catalog), Framer (the CMS we write into), Stripe (payments) and the infrastructure providers that host our backend and authentication. We do not sell data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Retention & deletion
Connection and catalog mirror data is kept while your store is connected. Disconnecting in the plugin or removing the store at app.framerlink.com clears its credentials; contacting us at hi@framerlink.com gets your account and any remaining stored data deleted. CMS data already written to your Framer project belongs to you and stays in your project.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data we hold about you. Email hi@framerlink.comand we'll respond within 30 days.
Changes
We'll post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above. Material changes will also be announced in the changelog.
