Troubleshooting
The fastest fixes for the problems we see most — pairing, store connections and syncing.
Pairing problems
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| Store name or pairing code is wrong | Copy the store name exactly from Pairing Setup in the Shopify admin; generate a fresh code if it may have been used already |
| Pairing code expired | Codes last 15 minutes — generate a new one and retry |
| No active subscription | Start the subscription from the app's Plan page (the plugin's error box deep-links there), then log in again |
| Couldn't reach Framerlink | Usually transient — your code may be fine; check your connection and retry in a minute |
| Plugin connects but forgets everything | Open the plugin from the Framer canvas (some Framer modes block saving plugin data) and pair again |

Store connection states
Two different situations look similar but resolve differently:
Store connection lost (app uninstalled)
If the Framerlink app is removed from the Shopify store, the plugin shows a Store connection lost banner. Your settings and components stay in place.
Fix: reinstall the app from the Shopify App Store, make sure the subscription is active, generate a pairing code and reconnect from the banner.
New pairing code generated (key rotated)
Generating a pairing code revokes the previous key — that's by design, so a lost or leaked key can always be rotated out. Any project paired with the old key drops to the login screen with your store name prefilled.
Fix: enter the new pairing code. Everything else — sync configuration, placed components, CMS data — is preserved.
Sync problems
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| Import stops with a name conflict banner | A CMS collection with the same name exists and isn't managed by Framerlink — delete or rename it in the Framer CMS panel, then re-run Import Products |
| Items still landing after the import "finishes" | Large catalogs keep writing in the background — the CMS fills in shortly; refresh the CMS panel |
| A field you removed keeps its old values | Field changes apply from the next sync onward; run one import after changing the selection |
| Auto-Sync enabled but nothing updates | Confirm the API key was created in this project and the project URL matches — see Auto-Sync |
| Sync seems stuck or erroring | Open the Framerlink app in the Shopify admin — the sync activity feed shows per-event success/error detail |
