Importing products

One click mirrors your Shopify catalog into the Framer CMS — products, collections, prices and imagery — ready to power CMS-driven pages.

Open the CMS panel in Framer and choose Framerlink to reach the sync configuration. Everything on this screen is optional — the defaults import your full catalog with the standard fields.

What gets created

CMS collectionContents
Shopify ProductsEvery synced product with your selected fields
Shopify CollectionsOne entry per Shopify collection (title, handle, image, description)
Per-collection tablesOptional — a separate CMS table for each Shopify collection you select under Sync Collections

These are managed collections: Framerlink owns their schema and contents, and the sync keeps them consistent. Fields you marked as editable are yours and never overwritten.

Run an import

  1. Choose what to import

Under Shopify Items, keep All Items or switch to Filter to import only products matching a vendor, product type, tag or collection.

  2. Pick collections (optional)

Under Sync Collections, select the Shopify collections that should get their own CMS tables. Browse Collections previews each one's products.

  3. Review fields

Under Standard Fields, check the product fields to sync. Add custom metafields if you use them.

  4. Import

Click Import Products. The button reports progress live and the CMS fills as items land.

Config follows you

Your field, collection and filter choices are saved with the store connection. Auto-Sync uses the same selection, so a field you deselect never sneaks back in through a webhook update.

Name conflicts

If your Framer project already has a CMS collection named Shopify Products (or a per-collection table's name) that Framerlink doesn't manage, the sync stops rather than touching your data, and the plugin shows a banner explaining the conflict.

Fix: open the Framer CMS panel, delete or rename the existing collection, then run Import Products again. The managed version appears under Synced.

Re-running imports

Imports are safe to repeat — products are upserted, removed products are reconciled away, and your selected fields stay authoritative. For a catalog that updates itself continuously, enable Auto-Sync.
